Inspiring Gardeners to Follow on Instagram

Share:

I’ve always found social media to be a mixed bag — but every now and then, I stumble upon voices that make it feel like community again. These gardeners, designers, and foragers remind me why I love tending plants in the first place: curiosity, joy, and a touch of wildness.

Pollyanna is a multi-award-winning garden designer and the founder of Studio Pollyanna Design. Her feed is full of beautiful garden compositions, plant recommendations and real-world design advice. Why I like her: - Her visuals are stunning and professional—great inspiration for garden layouts. - She mixes practical tips (e.g., “The biggest mistake with lavender is…”). - She makes garden design feel accessible (not just high-end show gardens). If you follow her: you’ll get ideas for shaping your garden, selecting plants, thinking of structure & aesthetics.

Jamie’s “Nettles & Petals” account is dedicated to growing food and flowers ecologically. Why I like him: • He focuses on ecological, regenerative gardening practices (not just aesthetics). • His posts combine food + flowers + seeds + sustainable practice → great for a holistic garden mindset. • His book and content lean into “grow food. eat weeds. save seeds.” which I find really appealing. If you follow him: you’ll pick up ideas for edible flower beds, seed saving, natural growing systems.

This charming local nursery in Bellingham, WA features a fun and colorful plant selection, tropical plants, plus unique events. Why I like them: - Local to my region (PNW) — so content feels relevant and you could even visit. - Their tone is playful (purple flamingos!) but with real plant-goods. - They showcase what’s possible locally: tropicals, special events, community gatherings. If you follow them: you’ll get local plant inspiration, event updates, and find chances to visit-in-person for shopping or workshops.
